🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟

Final Fantasy XVI is set in the fictional world of Valisthea. Scattered throughout the two continents of Ash and Storm are magical crystals, known as the Mothercrystals, which provide aether energy to the various populations and drive civilization, although their overuse causes magic users to petrify. In the history of the world, a technologically advanced and now-legendary sky-based civilization once dominated the world. 1500 years before the events of the game, a great war caused the civilization to collapse, with remnants of it scattering across Valisthea. A powerful force in Valisthea are the Eikons, magical creatures who operate through human hosts called Dominants. Each Eikon represents one element and typically never fight each other. A seemingly impossible second Eikon of fire, Ifrit, drives the main plot by disrupting this balance.

The core nations of Valisthea are the Grand Duchy of Rosaria, the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, and the Dhalmekian Republic on the Storm continent, the Kingdom of Waloed which dominates the Ash continent, and the neutral Crystalline Dominion sitting between Ash and Storm. An outlier is the Iron Kingdom, an isolated nation off the coast of Storm overseen by the Crystalline Orthodox. By the game’s events, Valisthea is suffering from a depletion of aether dubbed the Blight, driving the nations into conflict with each other. A key part of the nations’ politics and military are Dominants, who can use magic without crystals, though they are more at risk from petrification. Depending on where they are born, Dominants are hailed as political leaders, tolerated due to their power, or suffer abuse and are either killed or used as weapons of war.

  1. The ending was so bad…this game had potential to be so great but the writing of it got really reused and not very well foreshadowed.

  2. SPOILERS:

    First: amazing story
Second: Fuck you for killing Clive in the end

    That's all

  3. I really enjoyed 16. My only real complaint is the ending.

Dark stories don’t necessarily need sad endings (hell this very team has proven it multiple times in xiv.) I felt Clive deserved a bit of a happier ending, especially after losing everything including his brother twice. Him and Jill should of been able to settle down, have a few kids. Still a great journey though.

  4. Dude! I'm only 3hours into watching this and you have the best editing i have seen for any game I have watched thus far! I can only imagine how much time you must have put into editing this. You have yourself a new subscriber!

  5. Dirge of cerberus all over again, brother, ooooh brother, brother, brother, brotheeeeeeeeeer lol.

  6. All the people that's gay, Bahamut and his lover, Odin and the final boss.

  7. Not my cup of tea. I loved the CGI. Gameplay could have been better. Story was buzzard

  8. Titan's death scene felt like an ending to a bayonetta boss battle lols

  9. This game is generic as shit, holy hell…"Benedikta?" Jee, wonder if she's gonna betray someone…

  10. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🫂👍

  11. Would appreciate the addition of chapters

  12. Thank you for the upload! (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。

  13. I'm getting ads every 6 minutes in a 20 hour vid 😂 bye square

  14. Just finished watching it. Thank you for putting this together so soon after release. It was an amazing story to watch you play

  15. I feel like this is more on par of drakengard and Neir , more blood , cussing , a lot more mature than and the latest that’s come out. I’m happy about it ☺️

  16. Thank you for the movie. I appreciate the gameplay parts, but I came here for the story only. And so to see the gameplay bits, it was a nice surprise. 10/10.

For the game itself, I really like the linear gameplay. For me 8.5/10.

  17. So… Quick questions here : how did Joshua manage to survive ? He's Phoenix, yet, it's not very clear in my mind… I mean, all the world thinks he's dead, and BAM, he appears 13 years later, saying that the undying helped him… How ? Why the Sangbreque's soldiers didn't find him, like they found Clive ? At first, I thought that Joshua traveled through time, but no, he's the boy from the prologue… Which leads to my third question : who was the man Clive saw that night at Phoenix Gate ? An illusion from Ultima ?

  18. Yo me quedaría estancadas si en los primeros capítulos no salgo bn

  19. It’s unfortunate that with my internet the highest I can see it is on 360p 🥺😭

  20. At first, I wasn't going to pay attention to this game, but then, I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad I did. The battle scenes were epic, I found some characters that I'm enamored with and I can't help to feel sad for those who have lost something or someone precious to them. 🥲😢👏

  21. I just realized that ff16 is Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas.

  22. Just finished! Felt like I just watched a Final Fantasy Ball Z movie, FUSION HA!! Great story 10/10!

  23. You never disappoint. I can't get current gen consoles because I live in a very rural area with limited internet, and these consoles are apparently internet dependent. Your channel let's me experience this stuff.

  24. 20 hours of cutscenes? jesus, is there even any gameplay in this game?

  25. 20 hours of cutscene is crazy……this game sucks

  26. Thank you for this video…. 11:51:29 was this necessary to move this great story forward?

  27. Thank you for sharing the video; FF has changed. Certain scenes were not necessary coming from what I remember as FF. It has become tragic, vengeful, dark, etc. this is not a game I’ll buy. Things changed after FFV for sure.

  28. is it just me, or is there a looooooot of xenoblade 3 mixed in?

  29. My Initial FFXVI Story Idea:
    1. Cid creates a faction and gains Dion's alliance and friendship.
    2. Dion helps Clive realize that he is Ifrit and sympathizes with Clive because he lost many friends after losing control of Bahamut during his first try.
    3. Dion plans with Clive and Jill to smuggle themselves to Cid in a rendevous location following Shiva's battle with Titan.
    4. Cid tells Clive and Jill of Anabelle's schemes and King Barnabas of Waloed's crusade (Barnabas is a descendant of the Fallen's Royal Family).
    5. Cid explains that Waloed and Dhalmekia became allies after Benedikta convinced Hugo that "saving the world" is better than retaining wealth and power.
    5. Here are the events that follow.
    – Destroy Drake's Head (Mothercrystal) in Sanbreque using Clive and Jill's knowledge of the mothercrystal thanks to Dion's help.
    – Anabelle (Lucifer) will respond by claiming the Crystalline Dominion for the Empire and using its mothercrystal to harvest Valisthea's aether faster.
    – Waloed and Dhalmekia won't respond to the Empire's claim of the Dominion well and will fight.
    – Clive and Jill reunite with Joshua who becomes a Phoenix aether ghost and guides the two on their journeys.
    – The distraction will allow Clive, Jill, and Cid to destroy Drake's Breathe (Mothercrystal) in Rosaria.
    – Waloed uses Fallen Technology and the Ultima Weapon to fight the Empire which injures Anabelle (Lucifer) as a result.
    – Due to her injuries, Dion takes over the Empire and removes Anabelle's influence on his father, the Emperor.
    – However, Anabelle makes a quick attempt to regain control by controlling Bahamut's mind which resulted in the Emperor's death.
    – Clive destroys Drake's Tail (Mothercrystal) but unknowingly destroys a fake Mothercrystal Heart as the real one is in Anabelle's literal heart.
    – Clive saves Dion and imprisons Anabelle in the Crystalline Dominion's magical prison.
    – Dion frees Rosaria from the Empire's grasp and this was not a problem as the Empire's past betrayal of Rosaria was really unpopular.
    6. After a five-year time skip.
    – Rosaria and the Empire go to war against Dhalmekia.
    – The Dhalmekian General that was mocked by Benedikta and Hugo by smoke breathes in the intro is an ally to Clive and Cid.
    – The General informs Clive that the Dhalmekian Republic has fallen into corruption due to Hugo's influence because of his secret loyalty to Waloed.
    – Cid confronts Benedikta and convinces her to join him and return to the light while Clive fights and kills Hugo (Titan).
    – Clive destroys Drake's Fang (Mothercrystal).
    – The Dhalmekian Republic is defeated and left in shambles and needs time to rebuild.
    – Benedikta tells Cid of Waloed's plans which leads Rosaria and the Empire to invade Waloed.
    – Clive fights and kills Leviathan's Dominant in a sea battle and the sea battle ends with Odin dividing the sea with his blade.
    – Odin destroys Drake's Spine (Mothercrystal)
    – At Waloed's capital and royal castle (Rebuilt Fallen architecture), Clive fights Barnabas (Odin) and ends with Odin escaping to a rebuilt Fallen Sky City.
    – In the Crystalline Dominion, Anabelle (Lucifer) escapes, takes her Lucifer to form again, and raises the Crystalline Dominion in the sky.
    – The Crystalline Dominion transforms into a UFO ark ship called Origin.
    – Origin heads to Barnabas' Fallen Sky City and all hell breaks loose with a sky war between two floating cities.
    – Lucifer kills Barnabas by crucifying him on a small Mothercrystal tree she created (based off of Odin hanging on a tree).
    – Lucifer then battles Clive as the latter fight to kill the entity that is now destroying Valisthea to create a powerful rift portal to Heaven.
    – Clive wins with the help of the Heaven Eikons and their blessing.
    – A blinded Lucifer dies helplessly and cries for her desire to return home and how she misses her family in Heaven.
    – Clive destroys Drake's Tail which led to the gradual ending of the Dominants and Magic, freeing the Bearers from their curse.
    7. Ending
    – The final war led to Cid, Dion, and Benedikta's deaths.
    – Valisthea is terribly ruined and the governments have no chance to regain their powers at all.
    – Clive and Jill start a new life and the people of Valisthea celebrate the end of tyranny.
    – The world rebuilds with happy and peaceful communities, villages, and towns. (ex. https://youtu.be/GlCFPo6YYbU?t=1)
    – Jill Rosfield becomes the author of the Final Fantasy historical book with Clive and other witnesses as the primary source material.
    – Later, ghost Joshua warns Clive he senses a disturbance and feels it coming from a world in another universe called Etheirys (Hydaelyn).

  30. So mcuh respect for you, sir, thank you for this amazing movie!

  31. Does anybody know what the difference between this one, 20h 20m long, and the other one that is 17h 16m long, is?

  32. PSA FOR THE END: Clive is 10000000% not dead. One sidequests give context that the dawn means he comes back, and another implies the post credit scene book is written by him with Joshua as his pen name, just like with Cid. There's a lot more proof than this too. But if anyone brings up the Metia star fading=Clive's death, well it's been debunked. I went through all the cutscenes with the moon and star to check and it is ALWAYS lit brightly. Except for TWO times it goes out. We all know it does at the end…but did you notice at 00:48, literally a second after he says "And thus did our journey begin…" The moment Ifrit unleashes his power. It fades out…then blinks a soft red hue, just like the end. This is why Clive narrates "And thus did our journey end" after the dawn rises. This is why VA told us to pay attention to Jill's wishes.

  33. Am i the only one who finds this compared to older FF in the series, rather… simple. I mean, where is the fun exploring for items and materials, where is the true satisfaction of leveling up and the hit damage numbers really meaning something. In this game early on as a Eikon your already hitting 25000 damage or whatever. It doesnt mean anything to me. I always loved the 9999 damage barrier. This was a true reward after spending so many hours leveling up and getting the best materials. Status ailments, where? Free world exploring, where? Yeah the story is good, great cutscenes. But where is the soul, where is Final Fantasy?

I loved the older FF series, the last good one for me being FFX. But im afraid they have to go with the youth of these days, who have no patience for the older ways and just want action. Very sad, i was hopefull for FFXVI.

  34. The ending gave me FF15 vibes. Clive is similar to Noctis in many ways. Battle-hardened hero, the chosen one, sacrifices himself to save the world. Even at the end where dawn breaks and u see the sunrise is the same as in FF15

  35. fucking banger edit mate, watched all of it. great work on making it like an actual movie.

  36. This game is literally Asura's Wrath in a Final Fantasy World especially that sweet punch to the face QTE.
